We are transparent on pricing. What you see on this page are volume-based prices. There is no platform licence, no minimum commitment and nothing to pay during a pilot.

Price models, by customer.
The minimum you need to start getting benefits from WattStack is to use our hardware, whether deployed yourself or by another party. The options below are the typical adoption patterns beyond that minimum.

Flexibility providers pay WattStack nothing directly. Their terms are with the device owner, the manufacturer or the fleet operator, who themselves agree either a revenue-share or a flat-fee arrangement with WattStack, or set up direct-to-device access.

WattStack Edge

The core board, soldered down in manufacture or fitted via Adapter Board.
WattStack Hub
from £70
An Edge in an external enclosure with extended connectivity, to retrofit existing devices or to link multiple devices.
WattStack Display

An optional Edge-based companion with a local touchscreen.
Prices shown are at volume; smaller orders cost more. Hardware carries a 24-month return-to-base warranty.

All options use the same hardware; they differ in how much of our cloud you use, and hence what you pay for.
For manufacturers
Full stack
Your devices ship with the WattStack App, under your brand if you want it, Control Room and flexibility bundled in. You pay no platform fee at all.
- No platform fee.
- Free household App, white-labelled if desired. Premium, £3 a month, billed by us to the household and kept by us.
- Control Room included. A one-off activation fee per device, after a free allowance.
- Earn flexibility revenue, entirely passively, with nothing to build or run.
For manufacturers, fleet operators and optimisers
Direct API
Connect devices via our API to your apps or systems, or use Control Room as your interface with nothing to build. Limited resident app optional. You pay a volume-based per-device platform fee and choose how flexibility is handled.
- Platform fee from 25p a device a month if you share revenue from flexibility we dispatch, or from 70p with no share at all.
- Exporting devices, eg home batteries, from 75p a month with revenue sharing or from £1.80 without.
- Control Room optional. A one-off activation fee per device, after a free allowance.
For manufacturers, fleet operators and optimisers
Module only
Buy an Edge-based product and run it entirely on your own systems, over the open standards it builds on. You pay for the hardware and nothing else.
- Hardware cost only.
- Flexibility ready, direct to device over open standards.
- No App, API or Control Room, and no over-the-air update system, so you build and run your own.
- Bring a device onto our platform later, with 30 days’ notice.
Devices connect over the home or site network, so there is no data charge from us. Where there is no network, a Hub can take a 4G modem on your own plan.
